Although ludicrously early I poas this morning as I had a temp of 36.74 which is higher than I usually go. It was a small internet cheapie and I put it on my bedside table and then knocked it off and it flew under the bed - no time to start moving furniture etc so it is still there gathering dust and I know it would be too early to be positive but still, how bloody annoying.

Also temp rise probs due to dh putting heating on an hour early as he was cold.

Pezzina · 22/01/2009 12:25

Hi everyone

Thanks for your good wishes re: Scan on Saturday ? am excited and nervous. Will let you know how it goes, of course.

Queenie ? I agree with Wasabi ? such lovely sentiments ? you?re so right, it is wonderful to share our experiences, good and bad, with each other and get such great support and understanding.

Funtime ? sorry that you?ve got a BFN. I really thought you were in with a chance too.

Jools and Cindy ? good luck with the diets ? its great that you have each other to keep company

Yellowflowers ? how are you doing? Are you in the 2WW?

Pezzina · 22/01/2009 12:26

Yellowflowers our posts must have crossed. How many DPO are you?

Pezzina · 22/01/2009 12:34

Wanabe the cramping is a common sign as your uterus is expanding to accomodate your growing bean

smileycat · 22/01/2009 12:38

Wanabe don't worry too much unless you have bleeding with it. I had AF type cramps, but milder for about 2/3 wks & I still get aches now at 8wks, gyni said its just your insides stretching to accomodate whats comming & is perfectly normal

wasabipeanut · 22/01/2009 12:42

wanabe - I remember quite a lot of cramping with my ds - it was mild, periody cramping at first and then in 2nd and 3rd trimesters became more "stitch" like which I think was ligaments being stretched to the max!

I would take it as a good sign.

WanabeMum · 22/01/2009 12:50

Thanks ladies, it is very period like although not as strong. Just very edgy that's all (can you tell??)

funtimewincies · 22/01/2009 12:55

Good plan yellowflowers, I shall tell dh that he has to take me out somewhere nice and ply me with drink !

Good luck with the hypnotherapy wasabi.

yellowflowers · 22/01/2009 13:33

Hi pezzina - well fertility friend adjusted my dates so according to that I am 4dpo but according to it before the change I am 6dpo - so way too early whichever is true! I mean even if I was pregnant there would be no implantation yet.

VillageMum · 22/01/2009 14:50

Thanks so much for your kind words Cindy, queenie, funtime, wasabi... I'll definitely let you know how the scan goes. I just wanted to second something queenie wrote - if I've realised anything by going through all of this since my mc last year - and sometimes it's really been a mill of emotions - it's that ttc is part of the circle of life (oh no, now I sound like the Lion King!) and not a separate experience... so I'm really touched and grateful to all of you for still being there! Thanks for the support guys. x

Pezzina · 22/01/2009 15:08

Yellowflowers ? definitely too early to test naughty lady! Your high temps look promising though so try to be patient for another 4 or 5 days ? easier said then done, I know?

queenie1 · 22/01/2009 15:34

sorry to hear about BFN funtime. But it's not all lost yet is it? Every PG is different and that includes hcg levels.

yellow - way, way, way too early to test!! .

My plans to grab DH last night failed as he went out, got pissed with work colleagues and crashed over at a friend of his. He kept calling in his drunken stupor asking if he'd messed up on the baby front but I said we were probably covered. Nevertheless, maddening. Will try for tonight just in case but think it's too late now for this cycle. So here's just sitting hoping for the next 2 weeks...luckily I've got loads on so that will hopefully take my mind of it (a bit anyway).

yellowflowers · 22/01/2009 15:37

oh queenie I feel your pain and you are much calmer about that than I would be!

Yes I know it is too early but I have a compulsion to wee on sticks!!!!!

wasabipeanut · 22/01/2009 15:45

Speaking of weeing on sticks I had my delivery yesterday of internet ov sticks, preg tests and extra sensetive tests! I felt I had to be proactive and do stuff rather than just sitting around and waiting some more.

I have so many tests in my pants draw that I must now look mildly obsessive which I undoubtedly am....

queenie1 · 22/01/2009 16:20

wasabi - good to know you are being proactive and working yourself up for ttc again. I really do think you've been so strong through all this. Here's hoping you get another BFP very, very soon. x

wasabipeanut · 22/01/2009 17:28

Thanks Queenie - here's hoping indeed. I hope the next 2 weeks pass quickly for you and that you are in luck this month. You are very good not to give dh hell! It does seem to be a lucky thread - well, relatively speaking.

I have just realised that assuming next AF takes 5 weeks or so to arrive, Dh and I will be trying for a December baby at the earliest. Seems ages away. It IS ages away. God I am so impatient. I need to work on this.

funtimewincies · 22/01/2009 18:41

Lol wasabi - I had a similar conversation with dh this morning along the lines of 'if AF takes another week to arrive, then we're getting into at least Nov/Dec baby time' and we know that having ds' birthday so close to Christmas comes with it's own headaches.

Dh replied that he thought that he could live with it, given what we've been through TTC #2. I glad that one of use is thinking sensibly !

Joolsiam · 22/01/2009 19:45

lol - dates are freaking me out too !

I would have been due end of May and loved the idea of having a Summer baby. Now, I'm looking at the end of October - in fact, if I conceive this cycle and go to 42 weeks, I shall share a birthday - what a 40th that would be !!!

I always told myself when I started TTC that I would stop trying if I couldn't have a baby before I was 40 - didn't count on wasting 3 months of that time on a pregnancy that didn't go anywhere and then waiting 11 weeks for AF

Am changing the goalposts I think to wanting to conceive again before I'm 40 !!

C1NDY · 23/01/2009 09:19

Howdy everyone!! hope you are all well!

Tis Friday and what lovely weather, it is raining here in London. Well, I am sympton spotting and goush am feeling tired and my boobs (TMI - I know) look massive... I had a small amount of CM. I am 7 days till AF and am considering to test early... I know not a smart thing to do, way too early... but I have a patience of ... well of a Fish.... Also, I am the only one in the office today and am bored, going to pop out and get a First Response test, to indulge myself.

I am 40 in March and always hoped to have a bundle in my arms before my 40th birthday. It was going all too well last Sept until I MC and here I am on this road. Its been a good road as I had load of support on the way but am hoping that the ttc journey will end soon and the pg journey starts soon. Oh, by the way... I am awfully emotionally today - that's a sign

yellowflowers · 23/01/2009 09:30

good luck cindy - it is too early but no one has ever put me off testing when I get it in my head that that is what I want to do so no lectures from me. Let us know how it goes.
xx

wasabipeanut · 23/01/2009 10:02

Oooh good luck C1ndy - I hope this rainy day brings some happy news for you.

Well I think I have experienced one of the maudlin muggings that Funtime and Jools have mentioned. We got a mail this morning announcing the pregnancy of some friends of ours - we knew anyway, they told us at New Year but it was a big secret as she was only 8 weeks. They've now had their 12 week scan so the announcement went out. This couple are the lovliest people and have been trying for well over a year and it's their 1st, so I am happy for them but have still cried for the last half an hour

Blood loss has really escalated and I was in quite a lot of pain last night. This is just shit I just want it to stop now.

Joolsiam · 23/01/2009 10:11

Wasabi

On the bright side - the quicker it is over, the quicker you can start the recovery process.

Keep an eye on the blood loss and pain though and make sure you phone the EPU if it gets heavier - I think they say that if you are changing pads once every half hour, your BP needs to be monitored.

You can take paracetamol and ibuprofen together - that helped me

wasabipeanut · 23/01/2009 10:14

Thanks Jools - that's what I keep telling myself.

I'm nowhere near going through a pad every half hour although I am going to the loo a lot and just sitting there losing a lot and then wiping loads and loads away.

Thanks god I am working at home. Not sure I could have dealt with the commute this morning.

iggypiggy · 23/01/2009 10:15

Hello all

You know I don't think we should get hung up on numbers - everyone is different - two 30 year olds wouldn't nescessarily be the same age biologically - nor would two 40 yr olds - don't think we should set so much store in a number. Hope that sounds the way I meant it - in a nice way

I've totally messed up this month anyway - have manged hardly any BD action - have only managed CD12, 13 and 17

so def no high hopes for this month...

good luck c1ndy if you do test x
