Me and dh are waiting to ttc #3.

Have waited as we didnt want to have an august baby.

AF this morning which means if we tried this month and i got pg then baby would be due 14 Sept.

However, if baby was early I would end up with an august baby. Plus have just bought tickets for Coldplay on 12 th Sept (one band I have always wanted to see live).
But if I wait for January and dont concieve I am leaving an even bigger gap between ds and next baby (already will be 4.8)

So what would you do, just go for it and forget about the concert/august baby thing or would you wait and hope to concieve in Jan?

Go for it, life is short!

Sn0wflake · 08/12/2008 13:43

Go for it I think. But how long did it take you to concieve other two and also how old are you?

Gateau · 08/12/2008 14:59

I find it hard to believe you are planning your next baby around a concert and what month he/she is born. That sounds really shallow to me.
And "I would end up with an august baby". Oh how absolutely horrendous that would be!! What's wrong with August?
Just go for it and thank your lucky stars if/when you do get pregnant.

I LOVE this! Haha!

I found out I was expecting DS just after I bought my Take That tickets and what do you know he arrived 5 days before the show - yes I went!!

Get cracking, you'll find a babysitter hehe x

Thank you to everyone for your opinions, well done zebraa I cant believe you went maybe I'll be able to do that, Im seeing TT in June so will hopefully have a bump then too

I came on to the thread because I thought you were asking for advice about a serious decision. Clearly not.

clearly!

Christmosschops It's just taken me a year and a half and 2 misscarriages TTC DC3. Am now 9+4 weeks. DD1 and DD2 conceived in first months of trying. So message is, you never know what might happen. Enjoy TTC and am sure you will find a way to get to Coldplay - whatever happens!

Gateau I have no idea why you have to be so hostile to everyone. I've never seen you leave a kind or re-assuring meassge on any thread. It's either a very good act in order to wind people up or you are a deeply unhappy person. Didn't your mother ever tell you, 'if you haven't got anything nice to say, don't say anything at all'?

monkeybumsmum · 09/12/2008 21:09

Just wanted to echo what HeythereSantasGirl said... I thought having another one would be straightforward, and even had idea's about when would be the best time to conceive so that I got the most maternity leave (I work at a school). Suffice to say it hasn't worked out as planned .

I wsh you lots of luck ttc, but don't waste any time, just getting cracking! If the worst comes to the worst then I'm sure Coldplay will be playing somewhere else at some other time. On the plus side I bet you could make a bomb on the tickets .

Am assuming you are against having an August baby because of schooling? If you do have a baby in August, then just be thankful you have a baby full stop . I wouldn't worry about the school situation...
Good luck!

ps Lucky you re Coldplay - I would love to go and see them! Am also going to see TT in June - maybe I'll see you there

christmosschops30 · 11/12/2008 15:22

heytheresantasgirl - thanks for that, Im so sorry to hear about your mc's. I hope you will now enjoy a happy and healthy pregnancy.

monkeybumsmum - are you seeing Take That in Cardiff? Maybe I can sell you my Coldplay tickets if im big and fat

Thanks for all your advice and yes I know you never know whats going to happen, it could take me 5 years to concieve but I need to try and work it round the family too (would be great to start mat leave at beginning Sept so I can take ds to full time school everyday). I dont know what it is about the August baby thing, dd's friend is an august baby and is by far the brightest child in their year so its not that.
