Advice on luteal phase - 2 consecutive mc on CD39

I am 28 and have dd 3.6 and ds 22mths. Have had two mc's in 3 cycles (sept 26 and Dec 6)

I am still confused having just read lesley regan's book from cover to cover.

My cycle in between the mcs was 34 days - not sure if this is my 'normal' cycle length as i wasn;t keeping track before ttc again. On both mcs the hpts were -ve until day 34 followed by heavy bleeding exactly 5 days later.

The book says if implantation takes longer than 8-10 days dpo there is a very high chance of early miscarriage or biochemical pregnancy. It seems like this is what may be happening as even based on 34 day cycle that is a 12 day luteal phase.

Assuming hcg isn't detectable (I use first response) until implantation. Anyone have any thoughts?

I know in my heart i am trying to rationalise the irrational and all i can do is keep trying, look at my two beautiful children and be thankful..but somehow i want a reason and hope that it won't happen again.

Hi ilovebeingamummy sorry i don't have anything useful to say as I am in no way an expert, but wanted to say I am sorry about the MC's and also I do exactly the same thing as you, trying to work out all the whys and wherefores.
Are you temping at all? do you know exactly how long your lutal phase is or are you guessing. I think a usual lutal phase is 12-14 days.
I know its hard, and isn't helpful because it makes you feel so helpless, but sometimes these things just happen. I had a MC in Sept and it sounds exactly like yours, heavy bleeding later than AF. My Dr keeps trying to make me positive by saying that at least we know we can concieve, but I feel like a need a more solid reason, and something i can do something about.
