BFP but low hCG level?

I had a blood test yesterday and although I got a BFP my hCG level is pretty low.

I had 3 mc's in 2006 and 07 and have ttc since with no luck.

I was treated at a clinic for mc's and now have an appointment at the fertility clinic in 3 weeks time.

The nurse at the clinic said my level is low so I need to have another test next week to check to see if it's going up fast enough.

I'm trying to be happy...but I'm nervous that my hCG is only 61 when I'm about a week late already.

Anyone here had any experience with low hCG that ended well????

I try not to obsess but failing hopelessly - can you tell?

My first HcG was 89. I had 2 weeks of hell whilst my clinic gave me repeat blood tests, and although the levels were rising, they only doubled every 3 days rather than every 2 days as most people expect. Had lots of early scans which added to the strain unfortunately, but by 7 weeks my little embryo had caught up in size and we were able to see the heartbeat. That embryo will be 3 years old in February and is my gorgeous DD. I know it's hard but try to keep positive!

As Mummy2Olivia says, I had a similar problem and I had my 20 week scan on Monday . I tried, fairly unsuccessfully, to avoid all the obsessing and googling (and only had to wait 48 hours for my second blood test), but it was really difficult. Everything I read said the important thing was that your levels double, rather than the starting levels, but it didn't stop me being convinced it wouldn't be viable. I think I included this link somewhere, which gave me some hope as it shows the wide range of values that result in pregnancies.

I had a second blood test 2 days later and then another 4 days after that. When I spoke to the doctor who'd been monitoring the results, he reckoned it was just late implantation.

I'm trying so hard to be positive and hearing other people who started with low hCG's and ended up with a healthy pregnancy helps.
I'm freaking out because my last mc was similar...I was at 8 weeks, the docs couldn't find the baby and my hCG wasn't going up fast enough. After a week of blood tests and worries I had to have a d&c.
I'm lying about, thinking sticky and number-doubling thoughts

Well, I waited 6 days and my levels only went from 61 to 77.
So things aren't looking good.

I'm going to have another test on Thursday and then have an appointment to go see the doc on Sunday.
I've also got an appointment at a fertility clinic next Thursday...I guess I have more bad news to fit into my ever-growing file

my hcg levels was 220 then 48hours later 318, iv also had spotting and sharp stabbing pains

HI I just wanted to say on my ds my levels were just above 50, I also had stomach cramps so was admitted they took blood every day for a fortnight but it was not doubleing only going up by 20 -50 a day. They took me for a scan and nothing they were scanning every other day after a fortnight they were certain it was ectopic and were just taking me down to operate when the doctor saw my bloods had doubled she sent me of for another scan and there he was my pg went fine.

I really hope yours goes well too.
