Persona & Long LH phase - advice anyone??

Some of you may recognise my from other threads but im looking for any advice - quick catch up i have had 2 mc since aug and cycle appears to have gone a bit to pot!

however this month i sued a person to track waht was going on and got a postive of ov at day 13 = bd cd 13 14 15 at least! however i am now on cd 32 and no af has arrived?? is it normal for lh phase to be so long???

I use persona and my LP is usually 12 days but I think it varies from person to person and 16 days can also be normal. Have you done a test yet? I use the flashing m button on my persona as my test guide.

yeah m has been flashing since thusday last week!! its makes today 17 days into lh phase!!xx

So tommorrow will be 18 days? Were you tracking temp at all? 18 days of raised temp is a good sign.

Try again with first morning wee tommorrow? Fingers crossed for the stickiest of sticky beans!

If your cycle has gone irregular this is often due to hormonal imbalances. Would therefore refrain from using Persona - its not helpful in these circumstances.

Ovulation is not an exact science and a woman can have more than one LH surge throughout the month (these kits can assume otherwise). Therefore not all such surges are immediately followed by ovulation.

I would see if you can have a blood test done to see what your hormone levels are like.

thanks, im just gonna give up on all this, i cant go to docs again they are fed up of seeing me i sure!! and it was also Dr thast suggested i use persona to trck my cycle!!

Persona wont work on cycles of more than 35 days or really iregular cycles. Reason being it has 8 test sticks a month and works out the testing window based on previous cycles. My cycle ranges from 29-35 days and sometimes it records me as not ovulating (when other signs- cm etc say I have) because the testing window is out. I have been using it for 3 years now and at one point went through a year of thinking I wasnt ovulating properly because it kept missing my window.

Temping and recording is probably the best way to track your cycle as that doesnt matter if your cycle is irregular. I recomend fertility friend website because it does all this cool analysis on your charts to work out your average ovulation day etc.

But for you if persona picked up ovulation then thats a great sign but just be wary that if the monitor records a cycle of +36days it may go screwy. Phone the persona helpline for advice they are very helpful.

i havent had a cycle of more than 35 days yet unless it was following a mc!! im just gona have to give up on this cycle again!! persona did fit in with cm as well this month so thats why im 99.9 percent sure i ov!!
