I have just had three months without periods, after having had a D&C after a MMC and initially two normal periods. I am TTC and I would like to try reflexology. I live in London. Can anyone recommend a good therapist?

I can highly recommend Val Groome but she's in Essex so not quite London... You can search for a reflexologist nearer to you through the AOR site

Thanks for your help. I had a look at that website but it's so hard to make an informed choice, there are so many reflexologists in my area. I particularly want one with experience in the field of fertility.

do you live anywhere near sw18? there is apparently a good place called vitality centre with lots of therapists - you could try them?

msdynamo · 22/11/2008 10:24

Hi evie2000, I live in London W9. SW18 is too far away. But thank you for trying to help

Again maybe too far but there's a good reflexologist at the Active Birth Centre in Archway (London N19) - google for details - she's called Sophia Smith iirc.

friend had someone nearer your way I think - will email and get back to you.
I know the feeling when you're trying to find experts! I saw someone who definitely wasn't a fertility expert which was totally annoying.

Hi Ms Dynamo
Have you considered acupuncture (it is not as scary as it sounds!) I highly recommend Daniel Elliot and his team (Ealing, Chiswick, Harley St)- they specialise in fertility issues and work hand in hand with western med.

Good luck

Hi me again did you do an advanced search on the AOR site? you can then choose from the drop down list to search for reflexologists who specialise in fertility. Then click on their name to see more about them. Some have websites too, maybe then google their name and see what else you can find out about them. Goodluck with finding one and ttc.

Thank you to all you kind ladies for all the advice. I have also considered accupuncture, Chocolatedays and have heard from others that Daniel Elliot is excellent. I'll probably try reflexology first, alittleteapot suggested in N19 which is not too far, so thanks for that. Also thanks to ilovemyflipflops for dropping back in to help me use the advanced search on the AOR site, very thoughtful of you!

let us know how you get on

Im not in the area, but have had reflexology 3 times during my last cycle. I ovulated so that is a great start! I felt really relaxed after the first one, it was great. Did you start? If so, how are you finding it?
