Any thermometer recommendations for TTC?

I have a cheapie digital one I got ages ago I can't even remember if it is a BBT one (although I think normal ones work just as well don't they?). Thing is it doesn't store the temp so I have to often turn the light on, not good when I want to snooze. Usually I am good at remembering the temp until I get online to fill in my fertility friend chart but I probably could do with one that stores the temps so I can double check. Also mine does this annoying beep thing when temp is ready- if I am getting up at 6am to pee my DH will have a fit if I wake him up with the annoying beeping- is there any with a light that flashes or anything?

Ta muchly for any help.

Hi Thandeka

Any thermometer with two decimal places is fine for BBT (our normal digital thermometer only has one decimal place) so I just bought the one in Boots. It does beep I'm afraid (but it's not enough to wake my DH ) and stores the last temp. I actually usually just use the light of my mobile phone (aka my alarm clock ) to check the temp if I'm waiting for the temp shift or whatever as turning on the light would be too much for me, let alone my DH!!

I got mine from accessdiagnostics.co.uk - it does beep but I just stick it under my pillow until it stops beeping and, much like Caitni (hiya ) I then use the light from my mobile to see the temp just to check it worked etc... Then when I'm awake properly I input the temp into fertility friend. I have, on occasion, found the thermometer still under my pillow when I wake up properly so it obviously works to muffle the beeps . Definitely need a thermometer that works to 2 decimal places, not 1 though.

ooops! Mine only does 1dp! It has measured my thermal shift though and ovulation. Should I stick with it for the rest of the month or buy a new one asap but then swap and risk altering charts (Am 3 DPO so I suppose it won't make that much diff to my chart since O has happened)?

Hmm also if I am sucessful this month the themometer will be a waste of money.
