Just came off pill and think CD 19. Am sure i ovulated 7-8 days ago. Now have v. low abdo cramp ( not really like my usual period pains) and have been feeling really sick for 3 days. I know it's too early too test - do you think I could be pregnant? I didn't believe you could get symptoms as early as this but I read somewhere it's possible. What do you think? This would be dc no 2 but i can't remember what i felt like last time.

do you want to be p/g?

dcb · 16/11/2008 07:58

Yes - just started trying. Not sure if it's wishful thinking. Still feel sick today though.

I think if you are getting nausea then it is not to early to test, as long as you use one of those early tests. the nausea is a sign of the presence of the hormones that the tests check for. Good luck.

Actually nausea can be caused by rising progesterone which is completely normal at this stage in your cycle whether or not you are pg.

It is possible that the cramps you have been feeling might relate to implantation, but I have to say that there is nothing like ttc to get you noticing every twinge.

If I were you I would wait until I thought I was at least 12 days after ovulation before testing. That way you can have some degree of confidence in the result. If you test too early you could get repeated - incorrect - negative tests which can be pretty disheartening.

Wait until your period is due. I know from bitter experience what it is like after TTC for ages both times. My first month, by some cruel twist my period was 11 days late and I kept on getting -ve results when I did tests.

I have since found out that this can be caused by ovulating late, or just not ovulating that month. It is within the 'normal range' for this to happen once or twice a year to women apparently, and when I was ttc (9 months with ds who sadly died, 7 months with my living ds) I learned so much about my body. The other thing is that even if you DID know your cycles well the first time round, it can sometimes apparently change after you've had one baby.

Your symptoms sound promising, but it isn't likely you'll have that many symptoms of nausea until at least 10 DPO due to not having enough of the hormone by that stage - still, only 1 more week to go eh?

how are you feelong dcb?

Are you still feeling sick and have the cramps still??

dcb · 17/11/2008 20:19

Feeling much better today - prob a virus and wishful thinking. Still feel a bit strange in lower abdomen though. Prob did me good to have a weekend of extra clean living anyway . Will see what this weekend brings. Thanks for all your posts x

Are you sure you ovulate so early?? To Ov at CD10 would mean you only have a 24 day cycle which is fairly short..
You'd not know you were pg or test pos at only 7DPO either.
