Naive question- can a condom 'leak'? TMI

Had sex with DP last night. Condoms are a little small to say the least (please refrain from joking) and at the end I suddenly thought it had split. It hadn't. But it was full and looked as though some had leaked out.

Obviously it could have been from me. But it looked suspiciously like it had leaked.

I never thought this was possible but now I'm not so sure.

It's important I don't get pregnant at the moment as I'd be due when we're about to get married.

I am ovulating at the moment as I get hip twinges and pains and I've had them the past couple of days.

If you think it might have leaked and you really don't want to risk a pregnancy, go to your chemists and ask for "morning after" pill. It is effective for up to 72 hours I think after you've had sex. Although not 100% effective (ie some women do still conceive despite taking the pill) I think that it would def be worth it and help put your mind at rest.

I think condoms are available in different sizes - sounds like you need to use some larger ones.

It could just be spermicide or cervical fluid but I really wouldn't use ones you don't feel 100% happy with.

God, it's so bad that I'm asking this at my age. I'm really embarressed.

If there is any doubt go for the morning after pill, you can take it up to 72 hours after but the sooner the better.

I understand what you mean... I had a similar thing happen a few years ago. I went to the local A&E dept and got the morning after pill free of charge. The nurse I saw was lovely and said she had had the same thing happen to her too.

You just never hear about leaking do you? You always hear the word 'split'.

I've not much opportunity to get the morning after pill as DP is away with the car and I'm too far away from anywhere to walk. I'll have to attempt it tomorrow.
