I used them! They are designed for people having IVF, and pee needs to be dropped on test with help of a pipette (provided) I tested a day before my period was due when I got my bfp. When you actually read the instructions they are only 100% accurate on day of missed period, before that you can get false negatives, but not false positives! HTH

I did, was a long time ago though as dd2 is 2.5 now. they were great, worked really early.

sweetkitty · 03/11/2008 17:11

I think they are only really good if AF is about a week late.

With DD3 I kept getting really faint lines only got a good strong one a week late.

A trick is to do do tests together at exact same time one with pee one with water and compare lines.

Pound shops also do cheap tests.

ah ok, that would make more sense. only ever used clearblue before but am v skint atm and cant afford to splash out £10 or so and it might be neg.
wonder why they are so insistent they can be used so far before your period is due

I've used them a few times (last 3 pregnancies) and found they are more infuriating than anything, hours spent staring at the most faintest of faint line then finally giving up and going to get a CBD.

lol sweetkitty! at least its not loads of ££££££s wasted tho eh?

I used one this time round (not sure if they were this sensitive but were certainly meant to be early detection) and on about the day my period was due you could v. possibly see the faintest of faint lines, so faint I decided it wasn't (I had been ttc for 2 years so it wasn't v. likely !) - went for a run, went out that evening and had a few drinks. The next day I had a niggling feeling, used a first response and it came up bright pink within milliseconds. So, certainly the ones I used from ebay weren't v. accurate/sensitive.

lisad123 · 03/11/2008 19:20

i used it 1 daay after missed period, and got positive, although very faint.

Flo23 · 03/11/2008 19:31

I used them having spent a small fortune on tests from Boots etc whilst TTC.
Got the ones off ebay for ridiculous price of 1p. They were accurate. DS2 now 13 months..

belcantwait · 04/11/2008 17:03

got some from boots today- bogof of the first response ones. BFN . however i know i have tested waaayyy too early but you just cant wait can you?!
