Implantation Bleed or After Affects of Cervical Smear?

Hi everyone sorry this is a weird question i dont know who else to ask,

I am on Day 19 of my cycle, and yesterday I had a cervical smear, and at about 8 hours after it I has a little show of blood, not even a teaspoons worth, with tiny mild cramps for a few hours.

I think I might have concieved around my ovulation days on the 17th18th and 19th, and I was just wonering would an implantation bleed be this easrly, or was it because of the smear?

Also can a smear affect fertilisation or anything? thank you please help lol xx

I would have a word with the Gp practice nurse who took the smear sample. It may be an after effect of having the smear test done.

Would not think a smear would effect fertilisation at all (a fertilised egg spends around the first four days of conception in the fallopian tube).

aww ok then the implantation bleed would not be that early!!! oh well if it doesnt affect fertilisation I maybe still will be pregnant this month Thank you

I bleed after smears- but have no abnormalities. Its uncomfortable too, so I've I were you I'd think it was the smear, not implantation. x

I had a smear a few months ago and bled a little and the nurse even warned me and said not too worry.
