The control window has a purple stripe on white, however the test window has the opposite : white on purple (Instruction say purple on white is positive). Is that one of the infamous
evaporation lines?

Don't know what's going on there, but i would try with a different brand just to make sure.

Good luck.

I wouldn't say it was an evaporation line - that's when there is a negative result within the time limit specified on the test, but some time (ie hours) later, there is the faintest of faint lines. It is only from when the last of the wee evaporates altogether from the test and is a "watermark", not a positive result.

Yours sounds like a faulty test (very unusual!) Would try a different one (and brand if possible).

Thanks for your opinions. Test has now (1h later) faintest of faint lines (purple on white). Don't know how far I would be gone since AF has not returned after birth of DS 10 months ago :-)
Will test again in a few days with another test. Why is it testing so obsessive?
