Sudden irregular cycles/when to visit GP

In January I came off the pill and started TTC in March. My cycles have always been 28 days with/without the pill but recently have gone haywire.

Three months ago AF started 6 days late with light discharge. This was similar to discharge I had with my first pregnancy. I was going to test but then had full blown AF with pain etc so I didn't bother. My next AF was 2 days late. This month AF arrived 4 days early with normal pain and watery discharge. I have no doubt that this is a normal AF.

If I wasn't so desperate to conceive I would leave it a couple of months to see if my cycles regulated. Has anyone else experienced changes in cycles when TTC? I've been second guessing that I may "just" have been pregnant 3 months ago. However so many other things can affect cycles eg stress and I have been very uptight recently!

I've been considering seeing my GP to discuss fertility. I'll be 35 next year but I don't know what they will say except to keep trying especially as I already have a DS?

Hi Suze

I totally sympathise as I've also had weird cycles since I've started TTC.

I'm 32 and we started trying 3 cycles ago and since then my cycles (which were normally 30/31 days) were 35, 38 days (and the most painful ever) and the latest cycle is at CD41 today and still no sign of AF.
I also have considered going to the doctors as I just don't understand why my cycles are suddenly so long and painful when before TTC they were pretty regular and light.
