Exhaustion whilst downregging??

Have been injecting since Saturday and I am sooooo tired and generally ugh. Can barely keep my eyes open every evening these last couple of days. Anyone else had this?

Avoided it (I think) by having accupuncture. Worth a try perhaps.

thanx 4 ur reply racingsnakes. after being so tired i woke up at 6 and have been wide awake since. still feeling poop. wondering if its not the drugs and is me coming down with something. really shivery last night when i went 2 sleep. thanx 4 the acupuncture tip, im going 2 investigate this further when i get to work this morning

Yes Ive had experience of this (as well as insomnia). It can depend on which drugs they have you on. Also I get hot flushes - one min freezing the next boiling..... Always putting on and taking off layers of clothing. Basically the downreg drugs put you into the menopause - hence the urghh symptoms and tiredness etc. This will ease when you start the stims (and then there is a whole different set of side effects!)

Having said all this, I think reactions to the drugs is very individual - a friend didnt have any side effects to any of them.

I would advise you to take it as easy as you can - IVF is hard work. Acupuncture defo helps with the side effects as well (recent research shows) a positive outcome.

thanx sticki, i thought i was suffering insomnia after waking up at 6 but turns out the cooker splashback falling off the wall woke me up, thought i heard something....ive been very hot then shivery today as well, was putting it down to my sore throat. went to bed with dressing gown on last night, hood up and everything does acupuncture help number of eggs, egg quality or making embies stick as im donating eggs so obviously not having the last bit.
