implantation bleed or period?

hi, we've been ttc for several months. I'm 39 and got pg with first baby by accident so wasn't expecting it to be so hard this time. Every month, I've been getting weird phantom pg symptoms, but no joy. This month had particularly bad nausea - but also classic PMT symptoms so was hoping against hope. Sorry if TMI but am due on tomorrow but have just found some brownish mucus-y blood. Not a flow just some spots. Am I being mad to hope this is anything other than the start of my period?

Hi Ellpea - since you posted last night, maybe you have your answer by now ?

All I can say is that I got my BFP the day before AF was due and I had some brownish tinged mucus - looked different to pre AF spotting though because it was more watery.

Hi Ellpea - I don't think you are mad to hope. With all of my pregnancies I've had brown spotting at around the time AF was due. The time it's lasted has ranged from one afternoon to four days...

Are you still spotting today?
