Hello..

I have PCOS and have had for a while now..I have a DD age 5 but really would like another..My weight just keeps piling on and i have tried to get rid but it won't budge!
I am going to the Gynie on Monday to hear my fate and am really worried..Last time i went he told me i needed to have 3 periods in the year..so far i have had 1!!
I keep hearing people talk about Clomid..What is it??

Hi - i have PCOS too been ttc for 14 mths also have prob with weight (why does that have to be symptom??)
I am on first round of clomid - it is basically a drug that helps women like us to ovulate. Sounds like you would benefit from it, it can also help regulate the cycle. I have only got it for 6 mths (that is about limit) You take first tablet between days 2 - 5 of cycle for 5 days and then hope it works. As you say you dont have many periods my doc did say when i went as was so irregular they can give you something to start a period off if needed.
Think you should mention clomid to your gynie and see what they say - it not suitable for everyone n they will prob do a blood test/scan first.
