I know I keep telling myself it might take longer this time. I haven't had a coil before so that could affect it I know they say they don't but you can never be sure IMHO

Ooh can I be excited with you too?!?
I'm possibly having mine out tomorrow (have to have new patient appointment first but they could take it out there and then if all is OK).

I can't believe I finally have a reason to post on MN...This will be our first time TTC. I don't know what to expect really! Did it hurt to have the IUD removed? I remember it being quite painful on insertion but was fine 10 mins later and haven't had any problems with since. I've heard removal is easier as they don't need to dilate the cervix, true or no?

Hi Questions2008, i found it painfree when my coil was removed. Wishing you lots of luck.

Feeble, my doctor did say that your fertility will be normal straight away and some women fall pregnant before their next period. Im sure your be fine.

feeble · 23/09/2008 10:33

hi all
i've had it out and it was completely pain free just felt like a smear test.
.... it might be too late to change my mind now

It is not sore at all, just a little uncomfortable.

questions2008 · 23/09/2008 11:44

Haha, it's out! I can't quite believe it...You guys were right, no pain involved. Good luck!

Rachrox · 23/09/2008 12:32

Hi Ladies,
I had my coil taken out (after having it in for 18 months,) and was pregnant within 6 weeks!
I'm now 19 weeks, so good luck to you all ttc.
