Fertility Tests

Don't know if anyone can answer a few questions, I my husband and I have been ttc for 18 months now, before that I had a miscarriage and during the scan following the miscarriage found out I have PCO. My GP told me not to worry and ttc but have since gone back to GP as not concieved. Have had a blood test day two, came back normal and PG was 38 which showed a surge, just waiting for testotorone (spelt wrong I know) and more PG blood test to come back and my husbanc has to go for a seaman anlaysis too, can anyone tell me if they know what will happen next, if these lastest tests are normal? Is PG 38 still low?

Your GP should be more concerned; infact this person should stop doing any more tests and refer you to a gynae at a subfertility unit. PCO is not a condition that should be messed around with by GPs.

What hormone levels did they test on Day 2?. Did they test both your LH and FSH levels, if not I would ask why. I would not think your blood test actually came back as "normal" bearing in mind you have a PCO diagnosis already.

You will need to be persistant in order to get that referral.

lissie, I would agree with Atilla completely. Please get yourself referred - the waiting lists for fertility clinics can be very long so the sooner the better.

If you can afford it I would go to a private clinic if you can get a recommendation from someone. I wasted 2 years on the NHS before going private - it was the best move I ever made.

How old you, if you don't mind me asking?
