i am new on here and just wondered if anyone had any problems TTC after coming off of the cerezette pill? i stopped taking this pill and within days had a normal 7 day period and we have been trying this month to get PG. i have started to feel sick and feel extremely tired due on the 28th august just dont know whether these could be early signs or just in my head-wishful thinking .
i hope i am PG but have read some stories about people struggling after finshing cerezette. your stories please....

I got pregnant within a month of coming off cerazette, having had no period. I'd been on the pill for years.

Unfortunately the pg ended in a miscarriage after 4-5 weeks, but there's no indication that this was anything to do with the pill so don't worry- it was either my blood type (O negative) or just "not meant to be".

Good luck, hope you are pregnant!

it took me 6 months to get pg after coming off cerazette. but i tried to get pg straight away and expected it to happen and it didnt. next time i will be coming off cerazette 6 months before ttc, see if that helps.

hi, this is my 1st time on this site! i was wondering how long it took for anyone to have a period after coming off cerezette? i've been off it for just over 4 weeks and still nothing! me and my husband are trying for a baby, so im starting to get a bit frustrated! i have taken 2 pregnancy test (both negative) and spoke to my doctor who assures me this is normal! has anyone else had this problem?

Joy27 · 27/08/2008 15:55

Hi Sam- 4 weeks is really not very long at all, I wouldn't worry at this stage. Easier said than done I know.
I would advise that you keep testing periodically though- as I said above, I got pregnant before I had a period when I came off Cerazette. I also had a negative test around 4 weeks into this pg; then a very faint positive from the doctor's test the next day. If you are still worried in a week or so why not ask the doc to do a test for you?
I also kept a note of what was going on with me every day- any cramps, CM etc.
This was very useful when it came to unravelling what had been going on once I did eventually get pg and unfortunately miscarried. I've been doing this every day since we started ttc and find it very handy.
Good luck.

When we decided to TTC for the second time, I stopped taking Cerazette and had a period 28 days later, for the next couple of months my periods were spot on 28 days.
The next month I got to about day 33 and did a test. BFP.

Hope everything goes well with the TTC.

I am new on here and just wanted to share my experience with everyone. I was on cerazette for 3 years. Came off it as me and my bf were ttc. had period 3 days after coming off it which lasted about a week. Have now been off it for 8 weeks and still no period. Have bloated stomach (look about 12 weeks pregnant)nausea, sickness, cramping and headaches, hot flushes etc. done 4 preg tests all negative!!! i dont know what to do next! i really have run out of ideas and its really annoying me. HELP?!?!?!?!

Broodzilla · 14/01/2009 13:16

natalia, there was a thread on here the other day about cerazette and conception. Seems to be a mixed bag.
Have you done OPKs? I seem to keep telling everyone this, and I know that just because it works for me doesn't mean that it'll work for everyone but... try Agnus Castus. It's sorted me out both coming off the depo and cerazette.

Joy are you still on here? I was wondering why being 0- might lead to a MC... I'm the same, so you got me worried!
(Or anyone else that knows the answer to this?)

pud1 · 14/01/2009 13:24

i am currently pg. not sure how far and am waiting for the scan. i got pg while on cazette. is there an issue with this pill and the effects.

Joy27 · 14/01/2009 14:16

Broodzilla I'm still here. Sorry didn't mean to worry you. I was told that my blood type means that my body could reject a fetus that was a different blood type, iyswim. I had to have an injection of something the nurse called "anti D" (in my arse- oh the indignity) after my mc, and they told me that when I get a BFP I have to go back for another one and this should prevent my body rejecting a fetus.

Of course, in my baffled upset mc state I could have got this all wrong. In fact I am seeing my GP tomorrow and am going to double check what it means and what I need to do about it. Will update here.

In the mean time, I think there are some doctory/nursey types on here who might be able to clarify if they're reading. You could also read this link www.medem.com/medlib/article/ZZZAM52C67C but beware the perils of trusting the internet for medical info!

Blondeshavemorefun · 14/01/2009 14:21

joy - i think i will need the injection, once i am pregnant - as i am postive and my dh negative and the blood donor doctors mentioned it ages ago

Blondeshavemorefun · 14/01/2009 14:22
