I am just interested had first ds at 36 first time of trying am pregnant with number 2 first time.Is this very rare didnt use ovulation sticks,just maths

Same here, same ages, same time to conceive. I don't share that unless prompted and, gently, would suggest you do the same

I'm not sure if it's rare or not, it doesn't much matter either way. Same result however long it takes!

What maths did you use?

Good advice but have nosy friends and in laws.Will heed your advice.

The maths was working out your ovulation days from calender on net,if your being serious.

People ask so i have told them.I have had some who have found it very surprising,it was an enquiry thats all.

Beeny congrats. I think that for people who do all the right things, and yet still don't conceive, it is a bit galling when others comment on 'just using a bit of maths'.

I am pleased for you though.

not everyone has a regular cycle and not everyone ovulates the same time each month

i conceived my first first time at age 23 adn my second second time at age 29

it is quite unusual, but i often think it is luck more than anything else

I agree lulumama. I conceived my first in one day age 25, second in 4 months age 27, and BFP yesterday age 28 without having had a period after stopping BF. But not really my doing.

And it is awful when you know someone who is TTC & having issues. I have a friend (not massively close, but see in passing at least weekly) who has been TTC #1 for 2 years. We chatted about it last week, and now I am pregnant 4 weeks after finishing BF. Will be hard for her, I am sure

I said sorry and was not being big headed or cruel.As i said people have asked me how long i have been trying.

I got pregnant really easily with DDs father 6 years ago.

I am now struggling to get pregnant with no.2 and after 18 months TTC have suffered 2 heartbreaking miscarriages within 3 months.

Really sorry mummy2olivia did not mean to be unpleasant .I hope everything works out.

I think you can imagine that after chasing something for a long time to have it snatched away is awful- to hear someone saying how easy it is to acheive sticks in your throat slightly.

I dont think you are a nasty person and I'm sure you meant no harm but I do think you should think twice before posting- there are a lot of people on here who have suffered whilst TTC and have suffered loss when finally getting there.

mummy2olivia I agree with what you say, and hindsight is a wonderful thing, but in beeny's defense, that could be said about any situation we post about.

The threads about £100k not being rich, and quibbling over whether you should get one tax allowance or two, because you are only 7k better off, when some posters struggle to feed their children and go without themselves, must stick in the throat of those who struggle.

I agree, I just think that if you have to even consider calling your thread 'not showing off' then chances are you will upset someone.

I'm not asking OP to beg/apologise, just merely pointing out how post may be deemed insensitive to some people.
