Unprescribed Clomid.

Has anyone bought Clomid from the internet or while abroads and taken it without prescription.

I know this is bad, I know it could be dangerous but i know a lot of people do it and it works.

Any stories, good or bad would be great.

You need to be monitored on Clomid as hyper-stimulation is a real and dangerous risk. Clomid is prescribed for specific reasons (lack of ovulation usually associated with PCOS) and you need a diagnosis and prescription from a fertility specialist before taking it.

What are your circumstances? Have you been to your GP? Have you a diagnosis of any kind?

Please don't take such a stupid risk by trying to obtain Clomid this way [pleading]

It can be very dangerous and you need medical supervision and blood tests.
You are risking your health and fertility if you do this.

Just because "a lot of people" (and no it does not always work either) buy clomid over the net does not mean to say you have to be a sheep and follow the herd. You do sound desperate but you need to think this through properly. I would urge you not to do this. Drugs bought over the internet may also be fake.

Why do you think you need clomid anyway?. It is actually quite powerful stuff and is sometimes used when it is not strictly necessary. It should ideally only be taken when there is definitive proof that ovulation is not happening.

If you do not have a diagnosis it is better for you to seek one from a properly qualified medical person like a gynae (your GP can refer you).

It may also be that clomid is not suitable for you to take. Equally the fertility problem may lie with your man as well as yourself; in such circumstances clomid would not be at all helpful.

Overstimulated ovaries enlarge and release chemicals into the bloodstream that make
blood vessels leak fluid into the body. Fluid leaks into your abdomen and, in severe
cases, into the space around the heart and lungs. OHSS can affect the kidneys, liver
and lungs. A serious, but rare, complication is a blood clot (thrombosis). A very small
number of deaths have been reported.

Plently of people get prescribed clomid without any kind of monitoring though, i have several associates who were given 50mg at pretty must their first appointment with the gp.

Ttc number 2 for 3 years, 21 days blods done 3 times, twice i didnt ovulate, dh's sperm isnt great, am awaiting a referal but my drs really dragging her heels and i know when we get it we'll get sent away for more tests and told to wait 6 months or so.

I am completly fed up of waiting.

I understand your frustration (I've been ttc#1 for 2 1/2 yrs) but can't you focus your efforts on chasing your GP or changing to another GP instead of taking serious risks with your health?

My GP has just handed me 50mg of Clomid that I start on Sunday. I have been told to go back if i experince any odd symptoms but thats it. I'd change GP's and ask again. But if you prepared to take the risk, you knwo that you life could be in danger and you tell someone what you have taken just in case of an emergency then its your life.
