Can anyone tell me how to do this and what it all means?

This is a way of getting information about oestrogen presence in your body during the lead up to ovulation. It's good for cross-checking with other signs you're charting (eg CM) but is optional, as it's not really the best sign of when you're about to ovulate.

I personally found Fertility Friend really useful for learning about charting stuff like checking your CM and cervix etc - see here for more information.
