Have you had such pain before, is this an ongoing occurence?.

If it is I would suggest you ask your GP for a referral to a gynae as a matter of course.

period-like pain is definitely found in early pregnancy. Pain aside I would consider the fact that your period is now four days late. Time to take a test. Hope you get the result you want.

Take a test!!! Keeping my fingers crossed!!!

With my last pg i felt like my period was coming, for days and days. I'd tested early and on date it was due and got BFN but after 5 days of crampy pains I got my BFP! So maybe you might be pg. I would test if I was you!

hello, im 5 days late and need advice! had similar sysmptoms to pinky and pulapula, no period yet, am I overeacting? never been pregnant before so not sure how it feels. could I just be really late? anyone ever been 5 days late and then AF has arrived?

MrsHappy · 24/12/2008 22:14

Biscuit- yes it is possible to be very late and then get your period. If ovulation takes place later in your cycle then this can (and usually will) delay your period. Other things than can delay your period include ovarian cysts.
While there are some ladies who do not get a positive pregnancy test until they are really quite overdue, those cases are (I think) rarer than it simply being a late period (caused by late ovulation).

The only thing to do really is to wait a few days and test again. If you did ovulate later than normal, it is of course possible that you are pregnant but that it is too early to tell just yet.

Sorry not to be more help, there are just a lot of variables!

I came off the pill an started using condoms but one split so I went to get the morning after pill. I can't remember when my last period was or when I'm due on. I've been cramping today and yesterday but still nothing. I googled it and all the sites are saying it's an early sign of pregnancy!?
