Infertility & So Sad

I'm 37 years old and my husband is 32 years old. We're pretty complete and full of happiness. We're blessed that he sold a company and we can remain home with no financial problems.

We're just struggling so hard to complete our family with a baby girl! I want a mini me that I can do everything with! We paid the best IVF but failed and now we're retrying.

My husband doesn't understand fully, he has his minis because I have given him 3 boys aged 9, 7 and 4. I adore them and they're my world but I always wanted a daughter.

Now my body is failing me so badly! Two years and nothing. He said he would consider adopting but it's not something that he really wants, he wants biological.

The boys are starting to notice my sadness because I've just sat sat in the media room for two days and haven't moved! Never watched so much TV. Please can I have some success stories of women conceiving after age 37?😢

I wish I had a magic button that would allow me to choose the gender of the baby! A magic button that would allow us to conceive and complete us.

Kindly OP, it really sounds like you need therapy rather than just throwing money into more fertility treatment.
Even getting pregnant through IVF, you have no more than a 50/50 chance of a girl. If it is a girl, you have absolutely no guarantee she is going to be a “mini-me” - she will be her own person with interests and opinions, and they could just as likely be more aligned with your husbands as yours.

Another baby is not solving your issues.

What if you conceive and have another boy?

lemons44 · 20/10/2026 21:06

Do you realise that the majority of people on this infertility board cannot conceive one child? May have experienced multiple miscarriages, IVF failure, TFMR, have lost friendships, got into debt, completely and utterly lost any sense of happiness, and would give a right arm for a baby, any baby, regardless of the sex? This post does not belong here. And you need to seriously give your head a wobble.

Agreed. And because of the way sperm are you actually have a greater chance of having a boy the more boys you have.
you have 3 wonderful children to love. Seek therapy x

Truly pathetic to troll an infertility forum. Grow up.

This can't be a serious post? This is a board for people who are struggling to get pregnant, and you already have 3 lovely boys. Appreciate what you have.

Mischance · Today 10:21

Dear me. I feel a John McEnroe moment coming on .... you can't be serious!

SiegfriedSassoon · Today 10:23

Fake post.

NorwegianForest · Today 10:24

OP it is incredibly insensitive of you to use the word "infertility" in your post when you have three healthy sons. I'm honestly shocked.

Wishimaywishimight · Today 10:25

A "mini me"! Poor girl (if she is ever conceived - the expectations to be another 'you' will be huge. And poor boys for watching their mother so sad because she doesn't have a girl.

I have little sympathy for you using the word 'infertility' yet you have 3 children...

Mableandable · Today 10:26

You are so sad because you have three healthy children and are financially solvent? Come on op check your privilege! As others have said seek therapy - good luck.
