Starting a new job and TTC

Ok... so my work situation has changed and I have been offered an amazing promotion. Better hours and better money. We have been TTC and on cycle no. 5.
What I worry about is falling pregnant and having only just started.
What would you all do??

Background - I am 40 years old and came out of a 13 year controlling marriage. I met my new partner and we would love our own.
I feel like if I dont now I will regret it forever .

Exactly the same as you’re doing already - keep trying, keep working hard, take the promotion!

If it's within the same company your maternity leave rights will be protected in the new role so just carry on?

It may take a while at 40, so you could get completely established, or it might be quick but they can't take your role away from you either way.

You carry on as you are. You shouldn’t have to choose between a job you deserve or a family. You don’t have to wait.

If you fall pregnant then you go through the same channels as everyone else, and you get the same allowances as everyone else.

As long as it’s with the same company so you’re not leaving yourself without maternity pay cover just go for it.

Take the new job, continue to TTC, and recognise that you are entitled to do both. Employers do not hesitate to act in their own interests.

Its not with the same company so thats why I was worried . We have enough savings to cover a maternity period and we have planned ahead financially for me to take the time off
