Please help calm my nerves - been stupid

Is it really possible to fall pregnant straight after a period? I’m very much of the understanding that we typically have a few days during ovulation when we can conceive, and for me that’s usually around halfway between my cycle (day 14/15).

Came off my period on Sunday, had sex with OH Tuesday and didn’t use contraception. Spoke to a close friend earlier who told me this was how she conceived her third baby….

Well you'd better hope you haven't ovulated a day or two early or that sperm could easily still be alive to fertilise the egg.
If you don't want kids stop pissing about with your contraception.

It's how I conceived my third baby too.

My friend conceived her first this way, I was the opposite and thought I was well past ovulation on day 23 and along came my first. Babies happen anytime of the month because our bodies don’t work like clockwork.

Everyone's body is different. I ovulate early and have short cycles, so this would be really risky for me if I didn't want to get pregnant.

My best mate and I have sons proving the rhythm method doesn’t work. One ovulated early and one late. (To clarify we weren’t using it as a method of contraception, but both pregnancies were conceived during ‘safe’ parts of the cycle)

I just feel so bloody stupid. I always track my cycle and when we were TTC last year I worked out when I was ovulating which was 95% of the time around day 14/15. I just hope it’s the same this month, I’m tempted to go and buy some ovulation tests to put my mind at ease!

My third also conceived the day I finished my period, very happy he was but still don't know how as I had fairly long cycles of about 31 days🤷‍♀️ (this was a long time ago before ovulation kits were a thing.)

I also conceived straight after a period so yes it possible. I didn’t believe it at the time. Also I have ovulated at different times throughout my cycle over the years.

Also conceived very early on. I think I was still bleeding a bit too. I was incredibly surprised. If you don’t think you have ovulated yet, get the MAP now, today and cross your fingers hard
