I had some bloods done this week because im 37 and been trying for 1 year. 3 older children and had a miscarraige in May this year. I requested the bloods because since loosing the pregnancy, i dont believe ive been ovulating despite having regular periods.

The results came back and the GP says all is normal apart from I need a proper timed progesterine test, so to rebook 7 days before my next period, gp cant fit me in so its now next month :(

However, my concern is, my FSH is 16.5. This meant nothing to me until I googled it and asked AI, now I know its high for someone thats TTC. I believe the time the bloods were taken is a factor, so they were done on CD 17, which was my ovulation day. Iam now so worried Im basically going into menopause . Does anyone have any advice or reasurrance please? I now have to wait a month to get more bloods done and it seems so far away .

Well FSH surges around ovulation so that could be a totally normal part of your cycle. You won't know without testing it again away from ovulation. That said, it would be much higher in menopausal women.

Thank you, thats what Im getting from google. I have zero symptoms of being near the menopause. I still have periods every month etc and got pregnant straight away In Feb, it just didnt stick. Really hoping its to do with timing.
