PLEASE HELP freaking out

Freaking out here, not trying for a baby right now. My period is one day late and I did a test first morning urine, left it on the side while I had a shower, came back later in the day to a SOLID second pink line.
Did another one in a panic and there is nothing there?

Is there anything else that could cause such a strong second line like that ? Maybe it got a bit wet when I left it out ?? Confused and panicking and I need to know

Only way to know is yo wait until the shops open and buy another test.

Ok breathing again. I just took a frer and nothing on it.

What made that line is HCG, which is most likely from an embryo.

It might be too early for the HCG concentration to be reliably high enough to register on a test the rest of the day (which is why they say to use first morning urine).

It might be that the embryo didn’t implant.

Either way, you’ll need to test again in a few days and if it’s still negative with no period you’ll need to see a doctor.

So - you would say the top one is most likely positive and not caused by anything else eg reading it too late or the strip getting a bit wet or something?

it seems strange a frer would be negative though as aren’t they very sensitive?

Yes test with a morning urine which is concentrated.

Is it possible for anything else to cause a pink line like that?!

A positive that strong is very unusual for not pregnant, definitely keep testing. Hope you’re ok.

It could be a chemical. I've had this before. Only time will tell unfortunately. You may need to wait another day or two to confirm.

This was my first thought too which is why I freaked out !
