Delayed period copper IUD

hi I’m just seeing some reassurance I guess, i had a copper IUD removed on the 27th August in an attempt to start to try and conceive I’d had it fitted for 10 years. I had it removed at the end of my period. My period ended on the 29th and so me and my husband have attempted to conceive. My period was due on the 19th Septmeber and it never came I felt like I had the period cramps, headache and bloating all as I usually would. I have always been extremely regular in the whole 10 years I had the copper IUD fitted. I’m now anxious and concerned that I’m 4 days late I’ve done 2 pregnancy tests 3 days apart that were both negative. I’m desperate to get my period so I can just feel normal again and not be worried and track my cycle and try to conceive has anyone else experienced this before and what support or experience can you share, as I know it shouldn’t alter your hormones but but this is the only thing I’ve done differently to change/delay my period.

I had mine removed last cycle. I have been tracking ovulation for a while with LH strips, so I know my period has usually been arriving about 9 days after ovulation. I've just had my first full cycle after having the coil removed and bizarrely my period didn't arrive until 14 dpo, so 5 days late. I was doing pregnancy tests and all completely negative. I think the coil was making me bleed much earlier, I think because it causes inflammation. Give it a couple of days and I'm sure your period will arrive.

So your period is 3 days later than you expected? I wouldn’t worry too much about much about that. It’s probably the physical stress of the procedure that has affected your cycle.
