Ovulation testing help

Going to start testing ovulation this cycle ahead of us TTC number 2. I have totally forgotten all the ovulation testing rules, when is it best to test, am I right that first morning urine is not the best for ovulation strips?

And is cycle day 1 the first day of your period? What day should I start testing ovulation? Thanks in advance for any help

Hi, yes CD1 is the first day of full flow (if you get spotting leading up to your period that's usually not counted)

They do say not to use FMU for LH tests, it isn't so accurate. For example, I broke that rule this morning and tested at 7am when I got up and got 0.7, but I tested again at 9am and it has gone up to 1 so probably better to not use FMU. Best thing you can do is tests frequently and consistently each cycle until you find your peak.

That's really helpful, thank you! It is mad how quickly you forget everything!

Where do you find out what number it is (i.e 0.7 etc... ) is there a free app checker? I have the glow app but only the basic free package.

I use the easy@home strips (from Amazon) and the premom app for scoring.
