TTC September/October 26

I couldn't see that anyone's started a thread for September yet. Seeing as it's tomorrow thought I'd start one now. Seems AF arrived for a few of us at the same time so looks like we'll be in sync over the coming months.
How is everyone doing?

I’ve had an increase in mucus and .3s today, fingers crossed for you!!
do you have to start the digitals a certain time in your cycle? I was thinking of picking up clear blues as Amazon had them on sale and I quite like the idea of just plugging it in and waiting for a smile 😅

@Vimto1991 yes you start them I believe CD10! I have the touchscreen monitor (got it a few years ago when TTC #1) but I think I prefer the flashing / static smiley ones! I think the monitor is good for long term TTC (although you never really know how long you’ll be TTC for!). Although that flashing smiley looks smug when it’s on its 5th day of flashing 😂

I remember when i was TTC #1, they were like £11-15 😂 and that was only 2 years ago!

I think today is the day for me - .78 on the opk with FMU. CB monitor says high but it didn’t go peak for me last pregnancy so not sure what I was hoping.

i think I would have got the flashing smiley ones if I didn’t have any sticks left for this thing from last TTC!

@Vimto1991 @GreenPickle CD 19 and ran out of CB so did strip FMU and 0.45 which is higher than my previous days of 0.1/0.2, so I’ll test again this evening to see if it is higher! 🤞

Negative test this morning which I kind of expected but hoped I was wrong. I thought I was 12 DPO today but maybe I’m 11. Either way I’m out this month. Hope everyone that’s waiting to ovulate doesn’t have to wait much longer

yay! it's crazy that you can't just buy the sticks - have to buy the whole little monitor thing again! fb marketplace might have them cheap nearby.

I did a test with SMU and now im up to 0.84. I'm just going to keep testing every few hours to catch it - mainly just so i know it's deffo THE peak for my own satisfaction. especially since my last successful cycle it went peak for about 5 seconds 😂

sorry to hear - there's always a bit of hope no matter what at the end of the cycle. i hope next month is successful for you! do you use any OPKs?

It’s just awful. I hate ttc. No I don’t use OPKs. I had really bad cramps 11-12th so I am predicting that is when I ovulated. I usually go by EWCM and cramps but I didn’t have any of the former this month. My friend gave me some OPKs last month but it’s just something else for me to obsess about

totally understandable about the obsession as it does take over your life for a bit! i think for me it's about the control of knowing what's going on but i do go a bit OTT with them

Could you try one month with OPKs and see how you get on? I find that my body produces EWCM days before I actually peak/ovulate and my apps are nearly always way off - the digital clearblue ones are good because you only need to that once a day!

are you TTC your first?

I have used them previously but wasn’t a fan. I might try them again but will see how I get on without first.

I usually get EWCM and then ovulate a day later. No my second. Are you trying for your first? With my DS it took 4 years of not preventing but not actively trying. Hoping it takes less time for baby 2. I don’t want a nearly 6 year age gap

ah ok! they deffo add pressure and can sometimes take the fun out of it all (deffo doesnt help stress levels constantly tracking!). we have just been dtd everyday since my period ended 2 weeks ago 😂 if it doesnt happen this month, dtd much later in october!

this is my second, first is 17 months! we got pregnant first time previously but ended up in a loss and took a cycle or two to fall again so not sure if i have the same naive expectations! this is only my first cycle trying for number 2 as well - it's so all encompassing and i havent even really started
