Second static smiley on Clearblue test at 8dpo while TTC

Just looking for anyone who’s had a similar experience!

We are actively TTC our second baby so have been tracking ovulation using Clearblue ovulation tests only. I had a peak (static smiley) on CD13 and therefore assuming ovulation happened on CD14. I retested on CD15 and the test was negative (blank circle).

I had a few twinges this morning and out of interest took another Clearblue ovulation test which is again a static smiley at supposedly 8dpo… anyone had any experience with this or what it could mean?

Thanks in advance!!

I’ve had a bad experience with these tests told me I was ovulating or going to and never did for another 2weeks

I didn’t have a good experience with this test either! I found the cheap strips a lot more effective and accurate

I had flashing smileys during my fertile week but never static (as I didn’t test every day but DTD), then on 8/9 dpo I took another as I had EWCM - static smiley. AF then never came for 2 weeks so I think the egg never released the first time and i ovulated late. Had a 4 week wait (in total) AF came 2 weeks after the second ovulation 🙃 it felt LONG. Hope this isn’t the case with you and it’s just faulty testing! x
