Could spotting at 7DPO after miscarriage be implantation or period?

Hi everyone, I had a mc at 6 weeks in June, confirmed lh peak Saturday 8th July using cb digi purple kit with static smiley (cd 17 using the first day of proper mc bleeding as cd1) I usually have a 28 day cycle, ttc this month and then on Sunday which should have been 7dpo I had a gush of blood, and some slight spotting on and off since but not an actual flow and only when wiping. I’m so stressed out and desperate to be pregnant again, do we think this could be implantation related or my period trying to come early? I haven’t taken a test yet as I’m so scared of the result! Silly I know. Can anyone offer any insight please? Thanks :) - I did have lots of on off spotting before my mc was confirmed

Hi. I also had a miscarriage in June, but have had two healthy pregnancies before. I had a delayed implantation bleed with both - first pregnancy it was spotting for a couple of days and second pregnancy it was heavier, for longer and there were some small clots. We all thought I was miscarrying but wasn’t. Baby is now 15mo.
So when I had bleeding this pregnancy, I was quite relaxed - Bleeding is just “what I do”. It didn’t work out.
The real point of my post is that, yes it could be totally fine, but equally yes, it could be a period. My hunch is that it’s more than likely an implantation bleed but of course no one can really know … the waiting is the hardest part in TTC.
Really hope you get the good news you are hoping for. I’ll have my fingers crossed for you xx

Only time will tell, as hard as it seems for you in the thick of it. Sorry to hear of your previous loss.

@fluffycauliflowers thank you for replying, and I’m really sorry about your loss too. I also had 2 children previously and bled with their pregnancies so I had a relaxed attitude to bleeding in June, and then was told it was a mc. It’s so hard isn’t it. I’ve just used a cheap early test from home bargains and it was negative. I’m meant to be 10 dpo today so I’m not really hopeful. Thank you, I hope you get your bfp too xx

Really hard. I think the shock was hardest for me because I had been very blasé about being pregnant and telling people… I just didn’t really consider that it might not work out as I was so used to bleeding.
Have you tested again today? 10dpo is still early.

That’s exactly how I felt. I felt so silly when it didn’t work out, I had major hormone bloat too and looked about 6 months pregnant. I haven’t tested again yet because I’m so scared it will be negative! I feel pregnant like I did last month, but hoping that 10dpo was just too early, when you gonna test again? It’s sooooo hard waiting

I was the exact same with my tummy! I looked so pregnant and was sooo bloated.
Well I’ll tell myself I’ll wait until 16th (about 8dpo) but in reality I’ll probably be testing every day! I’m unhinged 🥲
My last (successful) pregnancy I got a faint line at 10dpo… but obvs the longer you wait, the better!!
