could these be implantation cramps? Are there even such a thing?

Never had these in my 2 previous pregnancies, but this week from Mon to Wed had terrible dragging type cramps in my lower abdomen. Really strange, don't get period pain as a rule, and these have now stopped. Am due on 2 weeks today and had unprotected sex last Friday.

Could it be do you think??

Ovulation pain? I get ovlation pain, mid-cycle and far worse than period pain. It's a dragging sensation coupled with a sort of constipation type feeling.

Pannacotta · 26/06/2008 21:38

Agree its probably ovulation pain, I get this mid-cycle too, very annoying as I also get bad period pain too.

ditto

i get cramps and one-sided pain mid-cycle every month since having dc3,and i also got some cramping and spotting a week before getting a bfp with dc 4+5.

or you could be constipated.

Zippidy · 26/06/2008 21:44

Definitely not constipated!

Oh well, know it's really unlikely but was hoping everyone would say 'Yep, sounds like it'

Just hard not to get hopes up, then drive myself mad trying to spot signs...

if it is ovulation pain then wouldnt it be a good idea to have sex again tonight if you are TTC?

Zippidy

Too painful methinks for just ovulation pain; also that does not last as long. Mid cycle pain should be checked out to ascertain the cause further particularly if it recurs. You may have some endometriosis deposits flaring up; this can certainly cause mid cycle pain.
