Symptoms after taking EllaOne

Unsure if this is the right place to post this as I know a lot of posts are about TTC.

18th July, husband and I had a mishap, didn’t think much of it as we’ve been on the fence about having a second. The next day, I slowly start freaking out and decided to take EllaOne 24 hours later and had zero symptoms from it… until today.

I was meant to ovulate the day after this, but my cycles haven’t been exact recently.

Been going about my life and then today when I woke up (so just over a week later since taking the MAP), I had achey boobs and sharp pain in both sides; something I have only experienced the last time I was pregnant. I also keep getting very slight waves of nausea.

I know I’m probably reading into it, but has anyone had this and not been/been pregnant? Still have 7 days until my period is due so too early to test 😅

I got insane pms, so I guess it could be the same for you? If you’re 7 days away from your period it’s unlikely to by pregnancy symptoms already, if that makes you feel better.
on the other hand doesn’t it only stop you ovulating? So if your cycles aren’t regular is there any chance you’d already ovulated? In which case I don’t think it would do anything? That would make you about 10dpo and you could take a test probably in the next day or two with some reliability.
Unfortunately obviously no one can tell you for sure though.
sorry if that wasn’t the reassuring answer you were looking for! Obviously it does only take one time, but equally there’s a pretty low chance of getting pregnant each month even if you’re trying

@Greenclass Defo could be PMS maybe, I just thought it was weird as I NEVER get boob symptoms?!

I’ve kind of accepted that if I am pregnant then that’s just the way it was meant to be and we’ll welcome a new sweet bundle to our family 🥰

My ovulation dates just seem to be off so can’t be sure when I actually did!

Might get some First Response tests and see in a few days ☺️

Yeah I’d test in a couple of days if I were you. It obviously won’t be definitely accurate until after af is due, but it’ll probably be positive 12dpo if it’s going to be, and maybe even a few days earlier.
obviously map isn’t 100% even if you take it at the right time. With you not knowing when ovulation was, it could be that it was already too late.
if you were considering it anyway and you’re happy to continue with the pregnancy then maybe it’ll be good that the decision was taken out of your hands. If that’s what happens.
Hope you get whatever answer you were looking for anyway

Also to add re boob pain, I’m not normally ‘hormonal’ but I was so erratic and having such intense mood swings. So maybe it can bring out things you’re not used to
