Sperm Donation/SMBC

Hello,
Has anyone here used a sperm donor before? For reference, I’m late 30s, in a sexless marriage and absolutely desperate to have children, so much so that I’m considering becoming a SMBC (single mum by choice).

I just feel that life is too short and I’ll regret not trying everything I can to have children of my own.

Any advice or words of wisdom appreciated,

I would love to look into a crystal ball and ask a resultant child what they may want, but alas, I have a stable, steady job, a warm welcoming home and a lot of love to give.

I appreciate you may have your own opinions on what I’m considering; you’re welcome to them. However, this is not something that I’ve just decided I’ll do on a whim. It’s the last in the line of lots of options I have already exhausted,
