Hi everyone, I’m just looking for some advice because I’m really confused.

I’m currently on cycle day 33 and my period is late. My cycles usually start on day 30–31, and the latest it’s ever been was day 32 (last month). Flo is telling me to take a pregnancy test because my period is overdue.

I’ve already done a Clearblue Ultra Early Digital test, which was negative, and I also had a pregnancy test done at my GP, which was negative too.

The thing that’s confusing me is that I’ve got what feel like pregnancy symptoms. I’m exhausted all the time, constantly hungry, and my sense of smell seems much stronger than usual.

Two nights ago I also woke up with really intense cramps that were across my lower abdomen and deep in my vagina. They were bad enough to wake me from sleep, but I still haven’t had any bleeding.

I also did an ovulation test on the day Flo predicted I would ovulate, and it was negative, so I’m wondering if I might have ovulated later than expected.

Has anyone experienced something similar? Did you end up being pregnant despite the negative tests, or did your period just arrive late? I’m just so confused about why I’m having what feel like pregnancy symptoms but getting negative tests and still no period.

I would suggest wait a few days and then do another test, maybe next week?
Try to relax and not symptom spot, it will drive you crazy.

From what i know, if hormones are not strong enough to be caught by a pregnancy test, they are not strong enough to cause symptoms.

Oh it could be either unfortunately
you could have ovulated late so your period will be late, or you could be pregnant but with a late implantation and not enough hormones to test positive yet. Unfortunately all you can do is wait a couple of days and test again if your period still hasn’t arrived. Sorry you’re in limbo, it’s really difficult whatever you’re hoping the outcome is
