I am out this cycle, anyone else want to join? Think I’ll ovulate around 29th June.

Ttc after an mmc and d and c in April, and took May off but think that was an anovulatory cycle anyway. Have a lovely three year old conceived through ivf.

Ovulation day today! Time for the TWW 😊 how's everyone else doing?

We are ovulation buddies! Fingers crossed for us both! 💫

Kathi154 · 18/07/2026 17:33

I got a surprise positive ovulation test today, 3 days earlier than I normally do! Waved my husband off on a one day stag do before I took the test so kicking myself a bit, but we’ve been doing the whole sperm meets egg method this month, and I’ve still got tomorrow to try so crossing fingers it’s enough.

Just ordered some FRERs because I’m manifesting this is our month 😂🩷

Posypear · 19/07/2026 20:25

@cmg91 what's a FRER? Sorry probably being dim!

I've had literally every morning sickness symptom I had in my last pregnancy all week. It's too early for morning sickness I know in the TWW but definitely symptom checking! I'm also technically 2 days late based on my last period but that was v v early. Not going to test until closer to 2 weeks post ovulation which will be weds unless AF comes before!

Posypear · 20/07/2026 05:28

Just took a test and it's positive! Turns out you can get morning sickness in the TWW!

It’s a First Response Early detection test. I’ve never used them before!

Congrats on the positive test!! What dpo are you? xx

Posypear · 21/07/2026 06:00

@cmg91 of course! Fingers crossed you get your positive.

V v early only 3 weeks 6 days today so we'll see what happens. I was very anxious with my first pregnancy but I'm so busy with my toddler currently it is a good distraction!

Awww huge congrats! 🩷🩷

I’ve had a dramatic BBT dip today but I’m only 7dpo so we will see what happens in the next few days! xx

Good morning everyone 💖 (depending where you are in the world)
I have woken up with a lovely sore throat courtesy of my DD AND I also caved and took a pregnancy test.......at 9dpo...
I have a very faint line that doesn't like the camera. I've attached one to this comment. It's pinky/red colour in person 💖

I'm out - it was a chemical. Back to trying again! Hope everyone is doing okay. My DS is good distraction and he's off nursery ill today so not much time to worry about it all.

I joined this thread on page 2 almost exactly a month ago. The next day got a weak positive HCG, but was a chemical and started bleeding 10 days later at exactly 5 weeks. Started LH testing when bleeding stopped and now 3dpo in the 2 week window again. I've not even allowed to buy myself any more HCG tests this month to try avoid testing unless AF is actually late but we shall see if that holds out. Crazy seeing such a short time frame yet the month has felt so long already.

I’m out again this month, period arrived bang on time!! On to cycle 10 🙈

I'm right there with you, cycle 10 buddies, where are you in your cycle now? I'm about 7dpo.

ThereWereNoUsernamesLeft · 27/07/2026 23:11

@Posypear @FlyingHighFlyingLow so sorry to hear about your chemicals, sending hugs to you both.

I’ve given up, LOL 😂 I’ve got no idea where I am in my cycle anymore. We just had sex whenever I saw EWCM and only managed a couple of days. I’ve finally accepted that it could take a while, so I’m just sitting back and seeing what happens. I actually feel so much better mentally for it, and now I’m just looking forward to our Italian holiday in September! 😍🇮🇹

We also have our first NHS IVF appointment booked in for November as it would have be a year trying by then.

That's such a good attitude to have, I've started to relax more the last couple of cycles too and it does feel so much better. I'm hoping the people that say relax and it will happen are right haha. Have the best time in Italy, I was there a couple of months ago it's a lovely country. In my area you have to be trying for 2 years for IVF and they won't even start testing until 12 months in, so having to hold tight and wait to see what happens.

Thank you, we can't wait! 😍 We've done quite a bit of Italy over the last few years and absolutely love it.

I've just come to the conclusion that what will be, will be. After talking to lots of friends, they've all said the same thing, it can take time!!

The waiting list here is about two years as well, so we may have slightly exaggerated how long we'd been trying... 🤫 Only because of our age and I didn't want to waste any more time. We had all the blood tests done, and my partner had a sperm analysis too and everything came back fine.

Is this your first time trying for a child? I said to my boyfriend last night, if I knew it was going to take so long, we should have never bothered being careful lol

Yes we are TTC for our first, assuming you are too if you're eligible for NHS IVF. We have a doctor's appointment in a couple of days to start testing. It'll be a year for us in October but I didn't want to wait a full year in case there was anything wrong so knocked a couple of months off. 🙈
I'm the same as you, we've been together 10 years and I've got the morning after pill a couple of times when we were younger, thinking I shouldn't have wasted my time haha. We got married last year and was careful up to the wedding and before the honeymoon but now I'm thinking why have we been using protection for so long haha.
I think just knowing you have a plan makes it easier to relax a bit, hopefully you won't need it but at least you have the IVF to fall back on. Have an amazing time in Italy, I've done a bit as well, we've got Sicily on our list for the next time we go back.

Good luck with the testing! It’ll definitely put your mind at ease knowing everything’s okay. I remember feeling so anxious waiting for our results, especially my partner’s because he does enjoy a beer 🤣. Thankfully, he had excellent swimmers and a great count!

Yes, we’re trying for our first, but at 38 and 42 we’re very aware that time isn’t exactly on our side. That said, I know plenty of people who’ve had healthy pregnancies and babies later in life, so I’m trying to stay positive.

Keep me posted on how you get on this month! And tell me… are you a serial tester or do you wait until you’re actually late? 🙈🤣

Solidarity here too! Nearly 37 and trying for our first since the start of the year, with aa MMC in April added in. Vastly trying to not become obsessed with it and overthink!

Glad to hear you both had good results. I've been strict with mine saying he needs to lay off his Sunday beers but as time has gone on with definitely become more laissez faire about things!

I know loads of people who have had healthy pregnancies at that age and beyond so I wouldn't worry. My friend had her first at 27 and she said she was a lot younger than most of the people in her NCT class, I think mid to late 30s and beyond is quite the norm now. Especially with the cost of living I think people are wanting to be more secure before having kids.

I am a litter picking POAS addict!! As in I take a test in the morning, squint at it, check it under natural light, magnification, LED lights, get in back out of the bin about 6 times throughout the day to check, take pics, put a filter on it etc. If only my husband knew he'd think I was a lunatic. I took my first test today (9dpo) and pretty sure it was negative as per. Checked my cervix though and it's high and soft and my fitbit has said my RHR has jumped up. I have the older fit bit that doesn't read temp but it does tell you temp variation (which is an average of your temps over the last 30 days and that's gone up slightly as well). Trying not to get my hopes up too much as I'm always convinced I'm pregnant every cycle and then AF comes.

Are you testing early or are you waiting?

ThereWereNoUsernamesLeft · 30/07/2026 18:07

Forgot to attach a photo but my fitness isn't low, go to the gym 3 times a week and we do plenty of long walks, I've only had one coffee in 2 days, not sleep deprived and not had any alcohol recently and not on any new medications so hoping I have a BFP incoming. I'm most delulu in the last week of the 2ww though so who knows haha.
