Hey,

Im basically just needing some words of encouragement.

Backstory; My partner & I have been trying for 3+ years with no success, we had ICSI in January which failed and have been continuing naturally. I was 1 day late on my period (yesterday) and saw a squinter on a test. 8pm last night the positives where so clear & a digital 6 days early said 'Pregnant'

16dpo FMU - the clear and simple brand which we used last night was SLIGHTLT lighter, but the boots 6 days early was exceptionally lighter like a sqinter.
Took another clear and simple then around 3:30pm & it was lighter again.
Took another at 6:30 and extremely light.

I'm sticking with the clear and simple for now but has this happen3d to anyone else and all was fine?

I havent drank much today TBH as ive been in and out of sleep.

Symptoms; mild cramping / pulling, headache & severe tiredness.

There are so many variables that can affect the lines on these tests. I know it’s easier said than done but put the tests away for now and wait a few days if you can.
when I was pregnant after a loss what kept me going was saying to myself that ‘today I am pregnant’ and eventually I didn’t need to repeat that anymore to myself as the pregnancy symptoms got stronger.
Good luck, I hope you have a healthy pregnancy

@Daisypodthank you! Its so hard to stwp away especially when its the first time we've ever seen a second line. I was so excited and upbeat yesterday saying 'I'm pregnant' and just being so thankful. Today all that hope has disappeared and just want to sleep until tomorrow morning to do the tests again and compare to 15dpo.
I'm going to try and remain positive and hopefully little pickle is going to progress and stay with us.

FMU is normally the best time to do it. See what the line looks like in the morning.

I actually found my fmu was rubbish my second was better! However I have had this happen and it be a chemical but also had a successful pregnancy after this too with rubbish morning tests so it's really hard to know and unfortunately there is nothing you can do but try to relax...I know how hard that is. Wising you all the luck x

Hi how did this morning go x

Nmmck93 · 29/05/2026 10:19

@Msgiggles30unfortunately the lines are extremely light and seems to be fading out. My digital 6 days early still says pregnant but the clear blue weeks indicator says not pregnant. I rang my GP & they have to said just to wait it out until I start cramping and bleeding. Im beyond heartbroken, years of trying and a failed ICSI. Having all that excitement finding out my body did what we have waited so long for, for it to be stripped away from us.

Hi I'm so sorry I know how awful this is I have pcos and fertility issues and my first postive went the same way with the tests and ended in a chemical however I did have a successful pregnancy 6 months later. It really does feel like your body betrays you but miscarriage is so much more common than talked about and doesn't mean it will keep happing (I was really concerned about this) sending hugs x
