Peak LH and Ovulation

Hi all,

Feeling very confused and frustrated as I have been diligently tracking my LH via OPKs...only to come down with one of the worst migraines in my life (vomiting, near fainting) meaning that on C13 when I had my "peak" I didnt manage to do the deed. We did still manage to dtd on cd11 and c12 and hopefully will tonight, the day I think im actually ovulating, but will it be enough - any insights / thoughts? Sorry I am very new to this type of tracking and think hormones and anxiety from the migraine are exacerbating my stress. I also am not sure I fully understand the science of ovulation. Thank you.

Based on your pic your CD14 does seem to be getting lighter so it does seem your peak was CD13 which was 19May. That means that you should have ovulated within 24-36 hours of the peak and then the egg is only viable for 12-24 hours. Sperm can live for 5 days which is why sex before peak can be more successful. Personally from experience we were not successful when we had sex only after my peak but always concieved the months we had sex just before the peak.
