TTC after miscarriage help!

I had a mmc and had surgical management a week ago. I was told we could have sex and start trying again after two weeks or once the bleeding has stopped. The hospital never mentioned doing a pregnancy test, but I saw this recommended online so I’ve started doing them and there is still quite an obvious line, though it is slowly fading.

My question is, can I start ttc again once I’ve physically healed from the surgery, even if I’m still getting faint positives on pregnancy tests (as long as the line continues to fade)?

thank you!

It can take up too 6 weeks for hcg to completely leave the urine depending how high the hcg level was. Your hcg and progesterone both have to be low enough to be able to ovulate. But if you feel up to it you can start trying as soon as you feel ready. If everything is low enough you may ovulate before your next bleed

Thanks for replying. So if my pregnancy test is still clearly positive will this mean I won’t ovulate until it’s basically negative?

Yes from my own knowledge and experiences your hcg has to be low enough for your body to realise there is no longer a pregnancy. You can keep tracking down your hcg or wait for your first bleed. I also just want to say im sorry for your loss. I hope your surrounded with love and support
