Ttc number #3 for 18 months DH has now developed some kind of performance pressure so we are going to try giving home insemination a go, I’ve brought a little kit off Amazon with syringes, cups and fertility lubricant. Anyone who has successfully tried this method can you give any advice on what to do other then the obvious. Any other useful tips/tricks? Thanks so much

Start taking folic acid if you’re not already and after you’ve inseminated, tilt your pelvis upward for 30 minutes afterwards.

We exploring the same, and advice I saw was looking at the Queerception pages on Reddit! Super helpful.

I tried this because I was paranoid that all the sperm was falling out, and did get pregnant doing it (I since also got pregnant without doing insemination so it wasn't necessary - not that any of my pregnancies have ended successfully yet).

We just used a pot and a cheap syringe then I lay down for twenty mins or so afterwards. Never used any lube or anything, but don't empty the syringe too fast. Do it as soon as he has finished, you ideally want it done within a couple of minutes max - it can't survive long outside the body. I know lots of lesbian women can end up with more delay than that and it's fine, but if you can be there and do it straight away, you should.

I just used a cheap syringe and pot.

i held the pot in my hand to keep the sperm warm and to liquify abit. No longer than a minute really.

we always done it just before bed so I didn’t have to get back up lol worked on the third month for us.
