Pretty sure that’s a positive?

ToKittyornottoKitty · 22/04/2026 16:27

Could it be a chemical pregnancy nearing its end? If you carry on getting tests like the pink one speak to a GP

AutumnAllTheWay · 22/04/2026 16:28

Were you using contraception?

Cause alot of women are still fertile at 40

Dozeyduck · 22/04/2026 19:51

Yes we were... that's why I'm a bit in shock. Also took years of heartache and lots of issues in trying to conceive my 2 kids. I don't necessarily feel pregnant but have never been this late. Just don't understand why clear blue isn't saying what the Asda one is!

Have you done another Asda one since?

Dozeyduck · 22/04/2026 19:53

Maybe it's chemical as previous poster has said...

No I've only done the one - have another one which I'll probably do tomorrow morning

I’ve had false positives on those tests before so I don’t trust the results of them. Buy a FRER as they’re far more accurate pink dye tests.
I hope you get whichever result you’re hoping for xx

What contraception have you been using, and are you on WLI? GLP-1s are known to make some contraceptives less effective.

Omg I just read the reviews on Asda online... absolutely terrible, almost everyone saying they've had multiple false positives on them! They shouldn't be sold! I feel relieved but still doesn't explain very late period - will see what the other one says tomorrow.

What was the result today?

Dozeyduck · Today 11:45

it's been negative ever since - must of been a false positive! Still no AF though...

Do you feel ok? It's very unlikely to be this for you, but on a couple of occasions, kidney issues caused the situation of 'very late but very hormonal on the days approaching.'
