Anyone else in the middle of TTC baby number 2? It can be lonely at times so thought I would start a thread ❤️

Hi all, joining this thread as will be TTC baby no.2 in my next cycle, my son is 3.5 and was conceived first time trying, I’m feeling a bit apprehensive about how long it may take this time as my cycles are doing weird things lately, which are making me wonder if I’m starting perimenopause. Wishing you all lots of luck! 👶🏻

@chelseaaaaaxxxx thank you!! It really does, you don’t realise how quickly life goes until you have children!
on average they’re 32 days. Last cycle it was 28 days but they’re just getting back to normal after my chemical in November.
what about yours? How are you finding ttc for 2nd baby? If I think about having a second baby too much I get anxiety, despite wanting them so badly. I think it’s because we have a routine and it’s just the three of us, having to adjust scares me so much and changing my life yet again with work and finances and routine

Oh I am sorry you experienced a chemical pregnancy 😣 that must have been so hard:/ hoping it all plans out well for you.🤞🏻
my periods are normally 32-33 days but I had some stressful news in feb so think I missed my period that month so they seem to be all over the place.🫣

trying for baby 2 is a abit stressful:( I am finding I need to chill out abit🤣 I fell pregnant pretty quickly with my daughter and we are now going into our 4 month TTC ( which I know isn’t long at all) ideally would love it to just happen now like most of your girls but you can’t rush these things can you.

I understand why you are like that, it’s been just the three of you for a few years and it will take a lot of adjusting! How many children would you ideally like? Xx

Definitely!! Everyone needs to keep us posted!!

Ooo I see what you mean now! That doesn’t very nice tbh but then you go off things don’t you when you are pregnant! What did you use to crave?

it’s really hard to explain it didn’t feel like period pains it was like in my hips a bit odd I know but never felt it before so I hope I get it again so it gives me a bit of hope 😂

awwwww do you what date were they due? my little girl is going to be 2 in June too. How are you finding this stage!, I completely understand what you mean with the age gap but I’ve always wanted them kinda close in age so they can play each other xx

i didn’t have many obvious cravings but definitely favoured certain foods. Hope you get the pulling feeling soon!!

She was due 23 June but I had her a bit earlier. I love this stage but also find it challenging 😂 she can be the best company but the tantrums are next level!! How about you?

SantiagoSister · 11/04/2026 08:17

@chelseaaaaaxxxx hi!

I’m only 35, so I was surprised to read that it is possible to be heading into perimenopause at this stage! My cycles have always been like clockwork every 28 days, and now they range anywhere from 22-32 days. I also have like 2/3 days of spotting before I start my period, which I’ve never experienced before. Google/older mum friends suggest perimenopause, so I am a bit worried going into TTC this time. But won’t know for certain until we try!

Could you get in contact with with a doctor? Like you said you are only young still and I do think Google does like to scare a lot of people with what it comes up with x

Hi everyone, joining this thread as DH and I are currently TTC number 2. I have one DS who is 3 (4 in July). I’m currently on cycle number 3 (CD11). Conceived DS on cycle 1 so going through multiple cycles is new to me! Sending baby dust to everyone ✨

chelseaaaaaxxxx · 12/04/2026 11:59

@Namesareimpossible

i am wishing you the best of luck!! 🤞🏻 it’s all heartbreaking seeing the negative tests or period arrives, also so hard to keep positive but we will get that positive test in 2026 we just need to be hopeful and positive xx

Can I join too! Currently TTC number two- I have a 5 year old so would love to have a sibling for him before he turns 7. I’m also 39, and my son took nearly a year to conceive after an early mc so I am not looking forward to the process. Currently on CD2 of cycle 2, so back to square one this month!

Al93 · 12/04/2026 20:07

Hey hope you don’t mind if I join too! TTC baby no.2 - I already have a 4 year old and she was a lovely surprise. Been trying since November and have had 2 chemicals which has been tough. Trying to just ‘relax’ but it’s really hard! Best wishes to everyone on here and really hope we all get there soon, it’s so nice to find a support group as this can feel really lonely sometimes! xx

On test brands - I’ve been using the easy@home ovulation and hcg tests. Super cheap so I’ve not felt (as) bad for testing a few times per cycle

hey,

so sorry you’ve experienced chemical pregnancies:( I’ve go everything crossed for you!! I completely agree with you on that it can be extremely lonely especially when you see everyone else just ‘fall’ pregnant without really trying! It gets to the point where you think it’s just you going through it at the time! We will get there tho. Xx

@Anon224 how are you getting on? Where are you in your cycle now? Hopefully someone can join me in the dreaded TWW this month!!

Hi @foreverhopeful92 sorry im only replying now, my cycle has been a bit of a disaster, my last period started 12th Feb and nothing since, currently day 61 😳🥴 per ovulation tests I believe i FINALLY ovulated around 31st March, so hoping im in the last few days of the TWW! Part of me kinda hopes my period will come with how bad this cycle has been, my head is just fried and looking a fresh start. Where are u in the TWW now?🤞

chelseaaaaaxxxx · 13/04/2026 18:07

Not diagnosed as such but i do believe I have it, with TTC #1 I had high testosterone, confirmed by bloods, along with longer cycles, although I've never had one this long! Its so typical though isnt it once u make the decision to TTC your cycles decide to keep you guessing 🙈 we are very near eachother time wise then!! Me and my partner did DTD round the time but I think im out this month!

Do you just have irregular periods?
before we started trying my periods were every month& always 32-35 days and I’ve always been like that ever since a teen! Would that point to having pcos?

oh I hope you are not out this month and you get that positive test!! Have you done a test?

Yea my cycles have always been kinda round 35 days, never below 30! I took Inofolic alpha TTC last time as its meant to help with PCOS, not sure if its the reason but few months after starting it i got my BFP. There are a few different boxes you have to tick to be diagnosed with pcos, irregular cycles is one, high androgens (testosterone) and something else, sorry can't remember last one lol done one today and it was BFN, what about you?
