7 years of onfertility, the past 2 days felt super exhuasted. Havent had a period for 11 months due to pcos although had an ultrasound 5 weeks ago for ovarian cysts. Decided to do my monthly wee on a stick and this is the result.... i cant decide if the test is faulty as I managed to get some wee on the window...

Will retest in the morning when i get another a test but could this actually be positive?

Goodness, that was an unnecessarily blunt way to put it, considering OP is probably very sensitive and confused to see two possible lines after 7 years of infertility.

Hi OP, the dye seems to have run as if the test is over saturated. Just wondering if you need on the stick or dipped it? Saturated tests can create all manner of false things so I would take it as negative/inconclusive and try again tomorrow by dipping the test into a sample of your first morning urine. Please do come back amd update. Hope all goes well!

It could be…. Fingers crossed for you OP - let us know won’t you….

...not really? Neither line is complete equal test invalid. I've had 8 pregnancies and have 1 baby so don't presume

Youspurnme · 01/04/2026 21:30

Im no expert but I’d be cautiously optimistic about that OP. Best of luck 🤞

Got everything crossed for you

I am sorry to hear that but I wasn't presuming anything about your fertility. I just didn't think it was nice to call OP's test a mess when she is probably feeling sensitive. I still think the same.

Purplerainpurplesky · 01/04/2026 21:44

Thanks all, i post an update tomorrow after ive bought another test.

Ive messed tests up before but never has 2 lines appeared within 30 seconds of a messed up test.... normally only one.

Fingers crossed, wont get my hopes up yet though!

that's a positive I think - really hoping you get a nice clear answer tomorrow OP x

DefiantRabbit9 · 01/04/2026 21:50

Could be. I got a positive test result after looking in the mirror and thinking 'I look pregnant'. We were trying for 4 years, went through a myomectomy and I conceived after telling my bosses to go F themselves.

I'm rooting for you. ❤

Caledoniablue · 01/04/2026 21:53

Hard to tell OP but keeping everything crossed for you!!

ChickenBananaBanana · 01/04/2026 21:57

I'm sending positive thoughts your way op.

MissBridgetJones · 01/04/2026 22:01

Keeping everything crossed for you x

Dontgoforward · 01/04/2026 22:04

I'd air on the side of caution and say it's invalid for now, but I have my fingers crossed it's not!

TheNameWasOnceChosen · 01/04/2026 22:16

Good luck OP. My fingers are cross for you.
A tip is to wee into a cup and test from there.

DivorcedAndDelighted · 01/04/2026 22:20

Looks positive to me, because that's a line in the Test as well as the Control zones. Only HCG will cause pigment to show in the test area. The lines are not fully across because not enough pee soaked through, so it looks like only half the test strip got wet.
Fingers crossed for you...

DivorcedAndDelighted · 01/04/2026 22:23

It might be interesting to dip that test stick in some fresh wee and see what happens - if the lines fill re boxes. If the odd result is indeed because the dipping part wasn't properly saturated, you would get more information. As you have a photo of it now, it's not going to do any harm.

saminamama · 01/04/2026 22:26

My gut is telling me is positive

bigyellowtractorface · 01/04/2026 22:27

Do you not have a 24hour supermarket nearby? I would not be able to sleep in your shoes.

i think the chances are far more towards positive than not.

WildWomanOfTheSea · 01/04/2026 22:27

None of us will be able to say for certain, but I am keeping everything crossed for good news in the morning! Good luck.

MauriceTheMussel · 01/04/2026 22:34

I’d think that a positive and have everything crossed for you that it is, OP.

GoldJules · 01/04/2026 22:36

Yes I think it’s positive too - fingers crossed!!!!

VioIetMoon · 01/04/2026 22:38

It may very well be a positive but that test looks to have a faulty window so I would retest.
Yes its very possible. Im pregnant naturally after 20 years infertility.
Ive been getting pregnant every cycle for last 5 cycles and my only child was a result of ivf .

Needapadlockonmyfridge · 01/04/2026 22:39

Fingers crossed for you x
