Advice for Premom

Hi Everyone,

Im on my second month of doing ovulation tests and logging them on Premom. I really liked the idea of having a daily record of the tests but it's confusing me that it keeps shifting my fertile period around. One minute im just about to start it, then I'm 3 days in , then I'm back to waiting for it to start again. And this is with tests that are showing as low but slightly increasing each time.

Am I doing something wrong or is this just part and parcel of using the app? I started using it because id read that so many other people are but I'm finding it quite confusing now.

Thank you

It takes a few months for the App to be able to predict a pattern.

Hi thanks for your reply. Ive been using the app for about 5 months for period tracking. Does it learn from the ovulation tests too?

Yes, period tracking isn't always reliable as it just assumes a fertile period. For example, midway through your cycle but lots of people ovulate a little later.

After 3 or 4 months you'll start to see that you generally get a leak LH surge on X day(s).

I have a 28 day cycle. My period tracker always assumed if ovulate day 14 but by the ovulation strips I don't actually get my peak until day 15 or 16 so wouldn't ovulate until day 16-18 realistically.
