8 months PP TTC

Hi there,

Hope someone has been in a similar position to me and can advise, I am 8 months postpartum and my partner and I have decided to try for #2, my cycles since having my baby have been regular enough, mostly 32 day cycles, 1 35 day, however this cycle has gone haywire, had my period 12th Feb and nothing since. Per BBT and OPKs I ovulated last Tuesday, making me around 6 DPO, I used an ovulation test today and its a blazing positive, I know its not pregnancy this early, im just trying to understand where my cycle is at, I know you can have a secondary LH surge, would that be as strong as this?
Anything you can add would be helpful ladies

This isn't a positive LH test, as there's always LH in your system, just loads when you're about to ovulate. If you're 6dpo your body doesn't even know it's pregnant yet, so no chance on a test. HCG will show up on an LH test, but you'd usually get a much stronger line. You might be pregnant, but it's too early to tell and this test is negative.

Looks positive to me! The test line is much stronger than the control!
Tbh, @Anon224 I’m not sure! Maybe you didn't ovulate last Tuesday, your body tried but then didn't release the egg? And you are ovulating now? Though weird that BBT went up?
Other than that I’ve got no ideas sorry! Hopefully some one else will. Have you taken a pregnancy test?

Thanks for your reply! Yes its very strange, ive done a pregnancy test, but as I suspected its negative. Im starting to think along same lines as you were saying, maybe I tried last week and it didn't happen so my body is trying again🤷‍♀️ its just weird my cycles have been quite regular up to now!
