Advice please - is my sister pregnant...??!

Ok, so my sister has a nearly 2 year old dd, has been off the pill for a while and using other methods. She and OH decided to try for another about a month ago (although he has since changed his mind - slow handclap please!). She is now 4 weeks late. She has been tired and peeing a lot. However, she has taken 5 HPTs, all negative (the most recent a couple of days ago).

She has had some sort of virus for the past few days (literally couldn't get out of bed) and had some bloods taken at the out of hours doctor service last night - she will get results tomorrow. NB she did mention the possibility of pregnancy to them. She is feeling a bit better today but obviously still doesn't know if she is pg!

Has anyone has anything smiliar? Opinions please......!

I would expect the HPT to be positive at 6 weeks if she was pregnant TBH, although I know there are other mumsnetters who have only shown positive results later in pregnancy. I had late periods for a couple of cycles a few months back - basically I did not ovulate for every other cycle and had gaps between periods of about 8 weeks. She is right to be getting checked out by her GP - the absence/irregularity of periods can be due to other medical problems ( e.g. underactive thyroid.)
