Hi Aunty.

I'm not an expert as this will be dc1 for me but I am sure an expert will be along soon.

What I suggest you do is join one of the ttcing threads on here, there are several great ones where everyone supports each other through ttcing. I personally "belong" to the wagon thread but I think its a case of reading through the various threads and deciding which one suits you best.

I would also suggest looking at websites like fertility friend which gives you a good overview of the basics, particularly if you would like to chart (using temps, okps or EWCM)to find out when you ovulate. There is also a book called "taking charge of your fertlity" which seems to get recommended around here alot, although I must admit I haven't read it myself.

With regard to "egg whites" what people are talking about it EWCM (egg white cervical mucus). This is the consistancy your vaginal mucus changes to just before ovulation. It is a great way to work out aprox when you ovulate and aids the sperm in its travels. However, not all woman do get this. Again, most of the fertility websites explain this better than I can.

Good luck.
