EWCM & PCOS

Me and DH are ttc baby 2. I was diagnosed with PCOS in May 2023 periods are very irregular some months I have 3 in a row and then some months I go 4 plus months without one. I take inositol and pregnancy trying to convince vitamins. My last period was 1st - 6th Feb with ovulation predicted 15th Feb of course this is very unpredictable with PCOS. I don’t test or check by temperature. Me and DH had sex days leading up to ovulation and after of course negative pregnancy test. My period was due 2nd of March. For the past 5 days I have had ALOT of EWCM never had so much in my life and yesterday had bad cramping on my right side, could i possibly be ovulating now due to the PCOS. We have had sex the last few days just incase. But just curious with the increased amount of EWCM I can literally feel it coming out of me. Any stories with anyone with PCOS and ovulating later into cycle.

No real helpful answer, sorry, except that I have had the same thing this cycle having never has this before. Not diagnosed with PCOS but fairly certain I would be. No idea if it was late ovulation but I also had my usual tells of ovulation around cd14. I am now cd26 and had a stark white test yesterday, so I dont think it was a sign of implantation, as my googling had suggested as a possibility!

Yes you could be ovulating now. I have PCOS - DD1 was a letrozole baby but DD2 was a natural conception, and when I fell pregnant with her, I ovulated on day 29. Make sure you are regularly having sex - every other day or so, to make sure you catch any irregular ovulation.

Its really impossible for anyone to tell you .
I get ovary pain, sometimes its a week before ovulation occurs, and some times a few days before / after. I also get it when period is due. If your not tracking your cycle with tests/ temp then theres no way of knowing . If your just relying on an app for 'ovulation prediction ' you really cant go by that if your cycles arent regular , even then an app cant predict this. Also ewcm can happen just before period aswell, its the estrogen surge that causes that.
My advice is to start tracking your cycles rather than guessing

PCOS here too. Just have sex every other day from CD8 or so until you get your period again. If that's too much for you, then BBT is very helpful for knowing when you can stop! It's also fabulous for learning more about your cycle. Alternatively have sex whenever you see ewcm, but accept that this isn't foolproof and you might miss your chance. PCOS seemed to cause random ewcm for me.
